Phillip Herel DPT, Owner of Herel Physical Therapy Phillip Herel is an Upstate New York native who received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University in 2014. Prior to that he completed his undergraduate work at SUNY Oneonta, earning a BS degree in Biology with an emphasis in anatomy and physiology. His desire to pursue a career in the health profession and interest in sports led him to Stony Brook University's prestigious Physical Therapy program. During his time at Stony Brook University, he recognized his passion for sports medicine and orthopedics as well as treating neurological conditions. He also conducted neurological research regarding trans-magnetic cranial stimulation trial studies to treat those with central nervous system impairments. Phillip has experience in many different settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, sports, orthopedics, neurology, and home health care.

Monica Aben, Front Desk Coordinator

Monica Aben has been with Herel Physical Therapy since opening in 2016. She is a Southern California native and is a vital member of our team. Monica performs multiple duties within the clinic to ensure superb quality customer care to each individual that comes into our clinic. She enjoys reading, song-writing, singing, and is a currently a part-time student pursuing a career in music.
